The Happiest Place on Earth

So this picture pretty much sums up how Chad feels about Disneyland.....grumpy! But I drug him along anyway and forced him to have fun! :) We went at the beginning of May and it was fun to just get a break from the everyday groundhog day routine of life!

This was a new section of Disneyland that wasn't there the last trip....it is called "Pixie Hollow" and it is just a photo-op with the fairies and Tinkerbell. It was set-up really cute inside but Ethan was a little more hesitant of the characters that could talk to him as opposed to the ones in costumes like Minnie and Winnie the Pooh. He is a funny boy....I think the only reason he stood there to get his picture is because Ashlyn was with him. I tried to convince Chad to get a picture with Tinkerbell but I think he thought I was kidding.....I wasn't, but he wouldn't. :)

Ethan loves, loves, "Cars"! I think we stood in line about 6-7 times just so he could go up and touch Lightning and Mater. Good thing the line wasn't too long. He thought it was just the greatest.

Ashlyn begged us to let her get her face painted to wear to Disneyland one day....we gave in. It was actually fun to watch...this lady did this design in about 2 minutes. After looking at the designs I thought it would take at least 15-20 minutes to do, but she was really speedy....maybe I need to be a face painter at Downtown Disney, for what they charge for their 2 minute face painting.... I could be rich! :)

We did a character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen which is always fun to have the characters come to your table. And it was nice to have a lot of options to eat for our picky-eater, Ethan.

These couple of pictures show Ethan after he got used to the feeling of sand....the pictures below show his other emotion when we first got to the beach.....

This meltdown was all because he just didn't like the feeling of walking in the sand....I think he may have issues with change when he grows up....he doesn't like to be out of his little comfort zone too much.

Ethan loved the carousel! This was by far his favorite ride. The only problem was that he didn't understand he had to get off when the ride was over. So this is how it went down.....ride started...overjoyed, happy, smiling.....ride ended....tears, tantrum, arching back....got back in line with overwhelming emotions.....got on ride.....overjoyed, happy, smiling. We did this cycle several times each time we passed the carousel ride. Exhausting, but worth it in the end to see him so happy. Oh, the life of a 2 year old. So carefree, yet so emotional.

Gotta love Pooh Bear
