Rest and Relaxation

So we did it (after 12 1/2 years).....we finally went on a trip without our kids....and it was really nice! :) Not to say that we didn't miss our kids, but a few days without some screaming and whining was quite nice. :) Ethan has definitely entered the two-year-old stage and has quite the dramatic tantrums now.

The guys went golfing.......

My friend Molly and I went and got a massage and a pedicure.....

(this was the actual spa we went to but I forgot my camera so this is from their website....I should have gotten a picture of us in our robes....we looked smashing! I was just trying to get used to the fact that I was walking around with nothing on but a robe in a public place....something to get used to for a first-timer at a luxurious spa! :)

We went to Goldfield Ghost Town and learned a little about old-town mining.....

We visited the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, they had some hand-blown glass sculptures in with the desert plants which were pretty cool......

We went to a few movies and ate lots of popcorn and candy!.........

We went out to breakfast.....which we rarely get to do

And we just enjoyed relaxing in our fancy hotel room that we got a killer deal on thanks to our friends....thanks Jake and Molly! Chad thought the best part of the room was that we had two flat screen tvs......:)

And last, but not least, on Valentine's night we went out to dinner to a place that had literally about 25-30 flat screen tvs around the restaurant and had dinner while watching the slam dunk contest....which the guys didn't complain about too much....what could be better than taking your wife to dinner on Valentines and getting to watch sports at the same time, right?

Thanks to Grandma Cathy for making this all possible by watching our kids for a few days. They loved spending time with Grandma and getting spoiled rotten while doing it! I am sure she is happy to have a clean quiet house back....thanks Mom!
