Labor Day Fun

Today we started out with a trip to Gardner Village....always a fun trip. Ethan has been asking to ride a "yorshie" (horse) everyday when he sees the horses on the way to pick up Ashlyn from school. So we decided we would take them to go for a pony ride at Gardner Village. Ethan was so excited about it on the ride there and kept talking about how he was going to ride the "yorshie". We got there, he saw the ponies, and he started to cry when Chad just even took him through the gate to get to the ponies. That shouldn't surprise me, but for as excited as he was I really thought he would ride them! Silly boy.....

Ethan was happy just watching as a spectator with his sugar stick....

They had Lucinda the Witch out advertising for their upcoming "Witch Events" that they do every year in the village....the kids thought she was pretty funny.

The kids always love to feed the ducks and the fish when we are there....

Ethan was cheering for himself when he threw the bread in the water :)

This is Ethan's serious pose he decided to do for the picture :)

Then we took a ride out to the Larry H. Miller raceway to try out the go karts they have...on the way there Ethan was enjoying the ride. I want to cuddle with my blanket and eat treats and watch a movie when we travel places, oh...to be a kid again.

Ethan was waiting for Ashlyn and Chad to get their gear on for the go karts....gotta love his cheesy smiles....they make me laugh!

I thought Ashlyn would be tearing up the raceway because she is quite the dare-devil, but she went so slow! I think she was a little scared. Afterwards, she told us she was trying to push down both petals, yeah....pushing on the brake and gas could slow you down a bit! :)

We ended the day with the kids playing on the playground a little bit.....it was a fun day and I got to test my camera out a little more!
