Ok....so you gotta go green when you are Irish, right? We had a green "breakfast" dinner on St. Paddy's Day to celebrate our Irish heritage. We had green apples, green grapes, green eggs (which looked pretty gross but still tasted good), green yogurt, and green buttermilk syrup to go on our waffles....and we had mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert (which I forgot to take a picture of). The leprechauns left a pile of chocolate gold in the morning for the kids. Ashlyn was pretty concerned someone was going to pinch her that day...she kept talking about it after I said she had to wear something green so no one would pinch her. You know some of those things that you tell your kids and then you kind of wish that you hadn't mentioned it because they keep talking about it over, and over, and over again! :) Her fears were resolved when at the beginning of class her teacher announced that there would be no pinching each other at school....whew! A few of Ashlyn's friends joined us for dinner...in case you were wondering who our other kids were :)
Nice boogies....eh?
