Ok....it has been quite some time since I have posted...summer has been fun so far and I keep forgetting my camera! We have visited Lagoon a couple of times and then Chad took Ashlyn on the Alpine Coaster Ride in Park City, both of which I forgot to bring my camera for....later I will have to get some pictures of these things. For now, I have some pictures of the neighborhood parade from this morning. This is the second annual parade, and to be truthful it is not a true parade, more like have the kids decorate their bikes and ride it up and down the street for a few onlookers in the neighborhood. But the kids have fun and that is what it is all about, right? We also do a neighborhood breakfast afterwards in our circle which is a lot of fun too. But this year was extra fun for the kids....a fireman in our neigborhood hooked us up with a fire engine. He parked it in the street and raised the ladder up to the highest point he could....which was higher than I would ever climb on a ladder! Then he took the fire hose and squirted all the kids in the circle. The kids were drenched! There was a ton of water and most of the adults got soaked too! I hope we can do this every year because that was definately the highlight of the morning! I would have gotten a close-up picture of the kids next to the fire truck...but my darn battery died in my camera!
That's cool! Your kids look so cute all decked out in red white and blue. Great pictures. I love little things like that on the 4th. Especially with kids. My favorite parade is the Menan, ID parade because it's so small and of course I love the chocolate milk they give to everyone! Your kids will remember that fire truck, so cool!
